For more about Avatar: The Way of Water 3D and the Avatar: The Way of Water 3D Blu-ray release, see Avatar: The Way of Water 3D Blu-ray Review published by Jeffrey Kauffman on June 15, 2023 where this Blu-ray release scored 4.In short, Avatar: The Way of Water offers some thrilling action sequences and some stunning special effects work, and it has at least toned down some of the more embarrassing tree-hugging elements of the original film, partly because there are fewer trees to hug. My experience watching video content from various sources in VR makes me understand what James Cameron believes: that 3D has a bigger place in Hollywood than some people think. For the week that ended on December 23rd, Universal Pictures Home Entertainment's Oppenheimer (2023) kept the top spot on the Blu-ray-only chart in its fifth week, while Universal's Five Nights at Freddy's also kept second place. Collecting influences from sci-fi books, movies, and indigenous life, Cameron merged high technology with basic storytelling, emerging with a feature that unexpectedly topped “Titanic,” becoming a phenomenon.

Not only is it necessary for survival, but it also plays a key role in the culture and mythology of the world. While I’m a fan and supporter of the 4K format, I readily admit I’m more excited about 3-D when and where I can get it. For me, the bad decisions Cameron made on Way of Water were HFR/VFR and showing the film in different aspect ratios in different cinemas.

The film picks up more than a decade after the events of the original film, with Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña) happily married and raising their four children in the forests of Pandora, according to the nature-loving ways of the Na’vi. The 3D Blu-ray physical disc format is dormant, and even the digital download edition of Avatar: The Way Of Water that was released this month was only offered in a 2D flavour.

The Na'vi and the oceans of Pandora all look photorealistic, and are seamlessly integrated with real people and physical sets. Unfortunately, it appears that HP has left the market – the company never really understood what the HP Reverb is – as well as Microsoft, that has dropped any development in its Mixed Reality platform that supported the HP Reverb, so users must look elsewhere.

Too many of us have fresh in our memories the worst excesses of the last 3D era, and perhaps that’s why Hollywood tends to look back towards it every few decades, leaving a decent gap in the midst. Since 2019 VR headsets have allowed allow home users to watch, not only 3D but also films on a large screen.

If the product comes with a DVD, the DVD is Region A and will only play on NTSC/Region Free Players.

Pandoran jungles and floating mountains benefit from the added dimensionality, but it's the underwater sequences that really deliver, immersing you in coral reefs, shafts of sunlight and shoals of fish. Despite Cameron's assessment that Avatar 2 was "the worst business case in movie history," the film made a tidy profit and currently stands as the third-highest-grossing film of all time. International products have separate terms, are sold from abroad and may differ from local products, including fit, age ratings, and language of product, labeling or instructions. The slide appears to be from an internal Panasonic presentation and was leaked by Japanese AV Watch.
