Description

The G Pro is a smaller mouse that can feel a little awkward to use with the wrong hand size, but we've found that the G403 is agreeable for everyone we asked. LIGHTSYNC technology provides next-gen RGB lighting that synchronizes lighting with your games and content.

Comparatively, the HyperX has three additional side buttons and a scroll wheel with L/R tilt buttons. The side buttons are well-placed, as they're high enough that you won't accidentally trigger them but still within reach. The M4/M5 buttons are minimally an improvement over some older mice, like the G500, where the side buttons would dig into the thumb after long gaming sessions. In his experience -- and I am inclined to agree -- Mike believes that the thumb buttons (M4/M5) on the G403 should be pushed forward a little bit on the body, as the back-most thumb button is a little difficult to reach at times. The GPL code and LGPL code used in this product is distributed WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY and is subject to the copyrights of one or more authors.

However, the G703 can be used wirelessly with its USB receiver, while the G403 is a wired-only mouse. The G Pro is a little more awkward, depending on hand size, as the mouse is smaller and more comparable to the G303. This is less sophisticated than the G900 and we don't think it has as even a distribution of force across the keyplate, but it also works better than some competing mice. To this end, when we talk about the G403, we are really talking about both mice; the only exception is when discussing shape/feel and the "human factors" of the mouse. That said, it has a better sensor with a wider CPI range, almost no CPI variation, and a lower lift-off distance.Corsair's M65 uses a weight system that would also offer the heftier look, but does feel a little cramped.

With rubber grips on the left and right sides to give you added control, the G403 was made to mold to your hand for long-lasting comfort during gameplay. Game-driven, full-spectrum RGB lighting responds to in-game action, audio, and screen color, synchronizing across G gear. On the other hand, the Logitech has a more neutral look and is a bit more versatile, as it also performs well as an office mouse. The scrollwheel opts out of the Logitech hyper scrollwheel and uses mechanical scroll tracking instead of the traditional opti-mechanical tracking. The SteelSeries has more programmable inputs, as it's an ambidextrous mouse with thumb buttons on both sides.

This D-Link product includes software code developed by third parties, including software code subject to the GNU General Public License (“GPL”) or GNU Lesser General Public License (“LGPL”). As for other buttons, the DPI switches on the G403 and G Pro put us off with their glossy finish, as do the thumb buttons, but this is something that can be ignored pretty easily once used to the mice. Again, GN's Mike didn't like this one quite as much -- he found it too small, forcing the fingers forward and over the front of the keyplates. The Logitech G403 HERO is the wired version of the Logitech G403 Prodigy Wireless, and it has the same shape and button layout. The original non-HERO version is a wired mouse and has a CPI range of 200 - 12000, though we haven't tested it.On the other hand, the Ninjutso connects either wirelessly with its USB receiver or with its charging cable, which is more flexible than the braided cable on the Logitech. But again, the latest trends have been to reduce weight and improve wireless functionality -- two efforts that seemingly go hand-in-hand.
