The green ghosts are quite cute, and they look like they could glow in the dark (though sadly they don’t) !

As such, I have not looked for strategy guides or attempted a mind-meld with the designer, but it feels like victory is the elusive treasure in an Indiana Jones movie. You only win by getting all of the jewels out of the house, but it can’t be all about finding the jewels. Before getting into the gameplay of Ghost Fightin’ Treasure Hunters Creepy Cellar, I have to start by raving about the component quality here. Trust me, don’t dismiss this game or enter into it thinking that it will be easy… You’ve been warned! The age recommendation is 8+ but younger players will be fine assuming there are older players to help suggest options – without being too bossy ideally.

With this Kai and Ras's Car and Bike Battle ninja toy for kids aged 4+, young ninjas can reenact events from the NINJAGO Dragons Rising TV series. I love that this game is so easily scaled up in difficulty for kids so that it really makes them stop and think about what their strategy should be without becoming so difficult that they can’t play it anymore. Your eyes and ears may deceive you, but the hair on your neck tells you what you already know: There are ghosts here — and not just one for these spirits are legion. If you reveal the Shuffle card, you take all the cards and shuffle them to form a new deck for the next draw.

Either the treasure hunters get all of the treasure out of the mansion in time and you all win, or six rooms become haunted first and the treasure hunters are doomed! Ghost Fightin’ Treasure hunters then is a simple game, but one that encourages cooperation and prioritisation of controlling the ghost population or getting the gems out.

The game is fabulous, the most remarkable thing is its adaptive scalability for children and adults players. It fits so that two of the hallways on the original board now lead to stairs going down to the cellar. Strangely, despite all the extra barriers the game seems to be throwing against the players, it (at least on the basis of the plays so far) does not seem to be considerably harder to win. All players work as a team to escape from the house with all 8 Treasure Jewels before 6 of the rooms become haunted.

Not only that, but there are cards that make some of the doors lock so that your players can’t enter or exit when the locked doors are in play. Also the mechanism it teaches are a great foundation and stepping stone other co-op games like Forbidden Island or the Pandemic Series. Toy hot dog food truck For youngsters and girls aged 4 and above, there is a pretend-play food toy, a buildable truck toy, two mini-dolls, and a toy cat figurine. It's roll to move, which can be a knock against it for sure, but there's still meaningful choices to be made.It is a very challenging game for us, and has become one of our go-to cooperative games (along with Samurai Spirit). Again, the game ends if six rooms are haunted, so the group would do well to work on attacking rooms with two ghosts in it to prevent the hauntings from occurring. The ghostly theme fits perfectly, even more so than the other firemen game, which I find a bit tedious. Jinxed Items get put into your kid’s backpack and fill it up until you are able to get rid of the item by moving to the room with the same letter on it as the token you just acquired.
