Provides 2.5 GbE and 5.0 GbE link speeds over CAT5e/CAT6 cabling deployments. Firmware upgradable to IEEE 802.3bz(1) The QNAP OS needs to have a working driver for it in the linux kernel. QNAPOS supports most Emulex, Mellanox and intel cards. With this system in place and transferring from a Kingston KC2500 NVMe to a Kingston Kingston DC1000M I was able to achieve the speeds you would expect. In testing, this was a touch under 9.5 Gbits/sec or around 1180MB/s. Intel X550 vs X540 vs Aquantia Severability. If a court holds a provision of this Agreement unenforceable, the court will modify that part to the minimum extent necessary to make that part enforceable or, if necessary, to sever that part. The rest of the provision remains fully enforceable.

Compliance with Laws. The Materials are subject to export controls under applicable government laws and regulations, including in the U.S. You must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including U.S. and worldwide export regulations. You must not export, import, or transfer the Materials to any prohibited or sanctioned country, person, or entity. You must not use the Materials for the development, design, manufacture, or production of nuclear, missile, chemical, or biological weapons. On: Driver does wait for Auto Negotiation. If the speed is not set to Auto Negotiation, the driver waits for a short time for link to complete and then reports the link state. The slowest board on a bus dictates the maximum speed of the bus. Example:When a 66MHz and a 133 MHz add-in card are installed in a 133 MHz bus, all devices on that bus function are at 66 MHz.

On Linux* OS environments, the NBASE-T has been supported since NVM* version 1.55 and Linux ixgbe driver version 4.3.9. Note: I've dug through NVM update release notes, and I do NOT see any specific mention of IEEE 802.3bz being "enabled" in the regular/mainstream NVM firmware. In my academic pursuits, I earned a BSc in Information Systems Design from UCLAN, before advancing my learning with a Master’s Degree in Computing. This advanced study also included Cisco CCNA accreditation, further demonstrating my commitment to understanding and staying ahead of the technology curve. Preliminary-Draft Nbase-T upgrade to official IEEE 802.3bz MGIG firmware, as confirmed above by Intel, DOES NOT EXIST in full compliance, and,License. Subject to the terms of this Agreement, Intel grants to You, for the Term, a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable, revocable, worldwide, fully paid-up license under Intel’s intellectual property rights in the Materials, without the right to sublicense, to use the Materials in the development of Your Products, including modifying Materials delivered as source code, and distributing the Materials, including Your modifications, in object form, embedded in or for execution on Your Product and under terms and conditions consistent with Your rights and obligations under this Agreement. You may disclose the Materials to Your subcontractor for its work on Your Products under an agreement preventing the subcontractor from disclosing the Materials to others. For Intel® Ethernet 10 Gigabit Converged Network Adapters, you can choose a role-based performance profile to automatically adjust driver configuration settings. Is IEEE 802.3bz integrated into an NVM image for X550; if so, which one and where is its release notes that specifically say 802.3bz now supported? INDEMNITY. You will indemnify, defend, and hold Intel harmless from any allegation against Intel arising in connection with Your use of the Materials and You will pay all of Intel’s losses, liabilities, and costs (including attorneys’ fees) arising from the allegation.

The Windows* drivers support the NBASE-T technology, but only in Autosense. 2.5GbE or 5GbE cannot be set as default, but if the signal degrades from 10GbE, it will automatically switch as long as the link partner supports those speeds. I wrestled with the idea setting up 10gig without a switch and ran into nothing but problems. Since you do have a switch, you should be ok using that.Assignment. You may not assign Your rights or obligations under this Agreement without Intel’s prior written consent. No third party will have any rights under this Agreement. Restrictions. Except as authorized above, You will not: (a) use or modify the Materials in any other way; (b) reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Materials provided in object form (except and only as specifically required under Section 2.5), or (c) use the Materials to violate or aid in the violation of any international human right. You will be liable for your subcontractor’s acts or omissions including breach of confidentiality.
